Naomi Miller

Naomi Miller teaches in the department of English as well as the Study of Women & Gender. Her teaching interests include Shakespeare, early modern women authors, lyric poetry of all periods and children’s literature. New courses that she has developed for the department include Shakespeare’s Sisters, Shakespeare’s Women/Women’s Shakespeares, and Adapting Literary Classics for Children. In 2016 she was awarded Smith’s Sherrerd Prize for Distinguished Teaching.

In addition to academic articles for The Chronicle of Higher Education and scholarly journal articles, Miller has published a historical fiction novel, Imperfect Alchemist (2020), as well as multiple books about Renaissance women authors and the early modern world.
