Julianna Tymoczko
Louise Wolff Kahn 1931 Professor of Mathematical Sciences; Codirector, Postbaccalaureate Program
Biography
Julianna Tymoczko’s research is between algebraic geometry and algebraic combinatorics, including studies of geometric representations of the symmetric group, modern Schubert calculus, and equivariant cohomology using combinatorial methods. Her projects often involve Hessenberg varieties, a family of subvarieties of the flag variety that include Springer varieties.
