What brought you to Smith and how long have you worked here?
I began working at Smith in 2014 to help ensure people who identify as female have a seat at the table.

How would you describe what you do here at Smith?
I’ve worked to engage alums, friends and parents with a focus on igniting their philanthropic support of the college.

Please share something you are proud of about the impact of your work.
I worked with a student to establish the first Smith College endowed scholarship for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) students.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?
The conference room of the Alumnae House, which is where I secured my first endowed scholarship from a wonderful alum and parent.

How has your background prepared you for your current job at Smith?
I am fascinated by people and love learning their stories. My master’s degree is in crisis intervention. My work prior to Smith provided me with the understanding and love of connecting with people. I use this daily in my current position.

When you’re not working or traveling for Smith, what are you most likely to be found doing?
Parenting my two teenagers, hiking, biking and reading. Also planning adventures with my partner that involve live music and enjoying lap time with my 55-pound dog.

What are you reading/watching/digging into these days?
I am in a book club I love! Right now I am waiting for the next seasons of Ted Lasso and After Life.

What’s a project you are passionate about?
The Northampton Survival Center. I have been involved there for years and I am looking forward to devoting more of my time there.

What’s a fun fact about you?
I have always wanted to be a mail delivery person.

Favorite Smith tradition?
Alum Parade
